Information You Submit
Terms Entered in Search
When you enter a name, place, or other term in a search tool, the query is sent to the third-party provider that operates the tool. Hansford County Released Inmates does not store or log those search terms on its own systems. The provider handles the query under its own privacy practices.
Messages Sent to Us
If you send an email or use a contact form, we retain the information needed to read and answer the message. We do not share contact messages outside the organization unless disclosure is required by law.
Automatically Collected Details
Standard technical data may be recorded when a page loads. This information supports basic operation, traffic measurement, and fault diagnosis. It may include:
- The internet protocol address used for the visit
- The browser name and version
- The device category and operating system
- Pages viewed and time spent on them
- The referring website, when available
- The date and time of each request
Cookie Use
Cookies may help measure how visitors use the site and support advertising or other features. You can block or remove cookies through browser controls. Some functions may respond differently when cookies are disabled.
Reasons We Use Data
Collected information is used for the following purposes:
- Keeping pages available, stable, and responsive
- Sending search requests to the appropriate partner service
- Understanding which resources visitors find useful
- Detecting errors and resolving technical problems
- Displaying advertising that may reflect visitor interests
Websites Beyond Our Control
Links may lead to Hansford County release-record sources, the Sheriff and Hansford County Jail, Texas Department of Criminal Justice services, parole or probation resources, federal or immigration locators, and third-party search tools. Texas government record access is governed in part by the Texas Public Information Act. Once you follow a link, the destination's privacy policy governs its collection and use of data.
Some advertising partners may use their own technology to observe activity across websites and select interest-based ads. That processing occurs on the partner's systems, not on systems operated by Hansford County Released Inmates.
Parties That May Receive Data
We do not sell personal information. Data may be disclosed or transmitted only as needed to these categories of recipients:
- Search partners that process submitted queries
- Analytics providers that measure site use
- Advertising networks that deliver or assess ads
- Law enforcement or government bodies acting under a valid legal order
How Data Is Safeguarded
We use customary administrative and technical safeguards suited to the information handled. No website, network, or internet transmission can be guaranteed completely secure. We therefore cannot promise that a breach, loss, or unauthorized access will never occur.
Visitors Younger Than 18
This service is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If a minor has submitted information, contact us and request its deletion.

Subject to applicable law and the limits of our systems, you may:
- Ask for a copy of personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of information that is inaccurate
